War Has No Eyes

A young Muslim from inner London searches for redemption from his troubled past after being challenged by his prior commitments

War Has No Eyes is the short film from writer/director, Perry White. Taking inspiration from the surge in radical Islamist recruitment, the Middle Eastern refugee crisis and the complexities of homegrown extremism in Britain, the film is seen through the eyes of protagonist, Mahmoud, played by Kadeem Boyce. Director of Photography, David Bird, carefully utilises urban cityscapes and industrial back drops with an artistic edge, underpinned by the film's 35mm format. Here, the intensity of Hossam (Tebraiz Shahzad) and Mahmoud's quiet, surreptitious relationship unfolds inside the noise of metropolitan London.
